Everyone needs this on their dashboard. EVERYONE.
RIGHT IN THE FEELS
OK. I get the ‘most of them are royals and require heirs’ thing. But why oh why must every happy ending automatically include kids? Not everyone can have kids. Not everyone WANTS kids. And sometimes people end up having kids because it’s expected of them, and then things go very, very badly wrong for everyone. Especially the kids.
I’d have really liked to see at least one of these couples having happily-ever-after without kids, possibly even passing an inheritance off to a younger brother if needs must, and frankly, not giving two fucks about it.
tl;dr: Childedness does not make a family. Not every happy ending has to include babies.
(And before the hate, no, I am not Childfree as a philosophy. But even if my family dreams include children, that doesn’t mean that I can’t sympathize with the pressure the Childfree get put under, even obliquely, by stuff like this.)
